My Story

The Modest Archive is an empowering Muslim-owned candle brand that encourages you to take care of yourself and your Iman.

My story stems from a desire to spread the goodness of my religion, by focussing on its emphasis on self-care and sharing peace with your loved ones. Candles have always signified a moment of peace & relaxation, and I wanted to take that one step further and root my candles in core Islamic values. 

I place importance on unapologetically embracing my Islamic values. Through my business, I want to show you that you can also succeed (in any aspect of life) when you place your faith in Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.

Hence the phrase handmade candles wrapped in faith. 

Islam places great emphasis on wellbeing and taking care of yourself and your imaan. 

Our Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said ‘no blessing other than faith is better than well being’.

Having a moment to pause and reflect in the day is crucial. It’s also something the Prophet (ﷺ) used to do in the Cave of Hira, he used solitude and silence to contemplate and understand his surroundings.

My candles aim to aid you in finding that sense of peace, belonging, and reflection. 

I hope my candles can be a means to help you reflect, spread goodness, and fill your homes with love and faith. Whether you will be lighting them in your own home, or gifting them to a loved one - my hopes are that this collection can bring you moments of much-needed peace and happiness.
